Sir Winston Churchill Park

View this park in a larger map

Terrain: A large park overlooking the ravine.

Safety: Fully fenced.

Water: Water fountain with dog bowl available seasonally.

Tips: The off-leash area was very icy when we went but should be much nicer in the spring. Plenty of room to run and lots of nice dogs to play with.

I'd like to note that the drainage in this park is TERRIBLE, leading to a disgusting and mucky time whenever it rains.

This is our usual park for our doggie and we love it. It does get pretty muddy when it rains and that but that is what the rubber boots are for and your dog.. well throw them in the tub..I don't care as long as my dog gets to see her friends and has a good time.
My only gripe would be that I wish people would respect the dog arena and surrounding park and PICK up after their dog. I often pick up other dogs poop to help out but it is getting ridiculous. And I am sure our park is not the only one that runs into this issue. PEOPLE pick it up! The city does not have to give us an area for our dog, its a privilege, be respectful.

Dry and hot in the summer as there is no shade anywhere.
Popular in the week at daytime with "dog walkers" (perhaps this is why all the poop)
